Triangle Telephone Cooperative (TTC) and Central Montana Communications (CMC), as well as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are very concerned about protecting your privacy and identity. Therefore, the FCC has enacted some new rules regarding Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI), effective December 7, 2007. Although the new rules will be somewhat inconvenient for TTC, CMC and our subscribers to establish and maintain, they will help protect you!

The five-digit Subscriber Passwords are printed on the 11/15/07 CMC billing statements and the 12/1/07 TTC billing statements. Please file it in a safe location because starting December 7th, we will not be able to release any call detail or account information to you if you call us and do not provide the password.

The new CPNI rules will affect subscribers when you inquire about your account (subscribed features, average usage, long distance called parties, times and durations, etc.):

1) In person - you will need to provide a current, valid, government-issued photo identification before we can disclose any information.

2) Via telephone - you will need to provide your Subscriber Password before we can disclose any information.

If you are unable to provide the required ID and/or password, we are forbidden from releasing the information. We can place a call to the phone number associated with the account, or we can mail a letter to the address associated with the account to disclose the information.

To change your Subscriber Password, please call 611 from your TTC or CMC telephone number during normal business hours.

To authorize another individual to access your account and make changes to your service, please complete and mail the Authorized Account Representative Form to TTC/CMC. Once the form is received and the information is entered in our billing records, your Authorized Account Representative will be allowed to inquire about and make changes to your account when he or she provides the required password or photo identification. This authorization does not change responsibility for your account or capital credits.

We will notify the account holder via US mail, electronic mail or voice message when a Subscriber Password or Mailing Address is changed.

TTC and CMC thank you for your cooperation and patience in adjusting to these new rules affecting all communications providers and subscribers for everyone's protection!
