How will I know when I have messages waiting for me?
When you pick up your phone, you will hear a "stutter dial tone".
Also, message waiting indicators are an option on some Caller
ID boxes. Message Waiting Indicator Lights can also be
purchased separately. The light plugs into your phone and
lights up when you have a message.
How can I listen to my messages
There are a few different ways to listen to your messages,
depending on where you are and your preferences. TTC and
CMC provide a great benefit to Voice Mail subscribers, allowing
them to access their message from anywhere in the TTC or CMC
service area toll free. See the Voice Mail Instructions page
for instructions on how to listen to your messages.
When will the Voice Mail system answer my phone?
The system will answer your phone after about 4 rings. If you have
chosen Voice Mail with Busy Forward, the system will answer your
phone immediately when it's busy.
What if I have Internet?
The "stutter dial tone" that the Voice Mail system puts on your
telephone line when you have a message may interrupt your dial-up
service. If so, just listen to your messages, which will clear the stutter
dial tone.
